Veep's Reid Scott, Parenthood's Sam Jaeger, and True Detective's Alexandra Daddario have also joined the cast of this darkly comedic drama from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry.

Ginnifer Goodwin as Beth Ann in 1963:
- kind, cheerful, warm, the ideal '60s housewife
- in denial that her ex-jock husband Rob (Sam Jaeger) is cheating on her

Lucy Liu as Simone in the '80s:
- elegant, stylish, effervescent, smugly superior, the picture of urbane confidence
- devastated that her indulgent husband Karl is having an affair

Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Taylor in 2018:
- a fiercely intelligent, kick-ass woman, a lawyer in control of her sensitive side
- upfront about being bisexual in an open marriage
- how her beta husband Eli (Reid Scott) admiringly describes her: driven, impassioned, very sexy, "one hot feminist"

Alexandra Daddario as Jade in 2018:
- stunningly beautiful, sweet, Taylor's lesbian lover
- a neat freak and may be a little crazy
- compulsively cleans Taylor and Eli's house and irons Eli's clothes (Eli is thrilled and impressed)
