that's one of the many reasons there should have been an #emmyforemmy. she played against type and did it really well.

Exactly. I thought the same thing,that she was too "polished" but she really made Fiona authentic and like you said played against type so well.

mte. i feel like everyone had/has this notion of her and the characters she can play, but you completely forget all of that while watching her as fiona, she totally disappears into the role. shame she never even got nominated for it, especially in the first few seasons
