I hate how this has become a whataboutism thing. so many people calling oprah AND gayle traitors and coons, talking about WELL WHITE PEOPLE DID BLAHBLAHBLAH AND GOT AWAY WITH IT! This isn’t a culture thing what we’re not doing to do is cape for predators for the culture

I saw someone saying Oprah would have been a Klansmen in her past life, which is so disgusting. She's literally a CSA survivor herself. Also the #muteoprah tag is embarrassing. They really think they have the power to end Oprah lmao

wowwwww, i can’t and mute oprah? good luck with that 🙄

lmao yeah a klansmen that alienated a big portion of her audience to endorse barack obama. it’s so gross to come for her and not consider the fact she was abused and things she saw in the documentary resonated with her

It's truly disgusting that people are choosing to ignore that she had been abused as well.

Seriously, lol, Paris is out there like "nobody can ever destroy my father's legacy" but we all know Oprah will survive the apocalypse, so.

IA. What people should be arguing is that white people should be held to the same standards poc perpetrators are and not the other way around. Like Elvis should be raked over the coals for going after a 14 year old priscilla presley and not MJ should be given a pass

i read priscilla's book Elvis & Me and the mind, it boggled tbh. can't look at him the same, guy was a mess.

Maybe he would be if his music had transitioned to a younger generation the way Michael's did. I feel like no one under 50 listens to Elvis and no station outside of oldies would play him, which isn't true for Jackson.

Very true. I can’t even remember the last time I heard an Elvis song, not even on the oldies station. He’s nowhere!

Exactly! Idk how this is such a hard concept to grasp for some people

black people who claim to not care about white people 24/7 suddenly rushing out in DROVES talking about "omg did you guys know woody allen is a pedo BUT THE MEDIA WON'T EXPOSE A WHITE MAN!" like nah, while it's true that hollywood is complicit in that piece of trash still somehow having a career, y'all didn't know about it because woody is not in your cultural scope

these people crack me up, like idk where they were two years ago when dylan went public and her story was literally everywhere
