I need some Queen internet historian to educate me because I always assumed he was bisexual based on what we know about him and was really taken by surprise in the movie where they had him say he thought he was bisexual and then someone corrects him like "NO YOU'RE GAY." WTF?

That's literally what happened, though. After being together for a few years, Mary started to realize that something was up, and the night that they finally talked about it, Freddie told her that she was bisexual, and Mary was like, "no, I don't think you're bisexual, I think you're gay."

Freddie never publicly identified himself as gay or bi either way.
