I repeat the point often but if Scott was white then Sciles vs. Scerek would've been the new Buffy/Angel vs. Buffy/Spike. They literally were both extremely possessive of him and that's to say nothing of his chemistry with Theo or Liam, which could read either way.

And it was a problem with both Danny and Mason too - canon gay characters of color getting their love interests/potential love interests shipped with their straight (presenting in Jackson's case) white BFFs with no explanation aside from 'oh, they're just boring and I'm NOT racist ok?!'

like you can imagine an mpreg AU or their white friends as entirely different humans but somehow the brown boys are too boring/impossible to adapt. That's not even touching the 'bad friend Scott' AUs or how fandom Stiles was often contorted until he was essentially a white Scott. LIKE?!

Honestly Scott had chemistry with everyone, girl or guy i adored him and Kira and wish we got more scenes with Isaac

The show was literally about Scott and they just wanted to shove him aside and for all that 'representation' talk they fully ignored the actual gay guys that weren't white. They were so full of shit LOL

Sterek in particular is built on the back of most writers turning Stiles into Scott or some sort've uber soft pack mom type, a MESS

If it wasn't so frustrating it would be funny. At least I can say that my expose to my main TW fandom was people who saw right through that and loved Scott properly but all these excuses are just so laughable.
