But if you're in the US and your insurance plan starts after 1/1/2014, an IUD and other birth control methods has to be covered. Thanks, Obama!
The only exceptions are insurance plans that are through a student, federal, or religious organization. So double check your benefits, boo!

I ended up getting another one from Planned Parenthood for $400, and that’s the amount I’m trying to save up now. Hopefully their sliding scale fees haven’t changed much.

And yeah, after some googling, it looks like you wouldn't qualify for state funding because of Medicare (boooooooooo) :( but I know they'll work with you on sliding scales, and you can even ask about payment plan options.
