I know everyone raves about Alicia Vikander in Ex Machina but I thought Oscar Isaac gave the best performance. Maybe that's me being biased because I love him and I think she always looks slightly bored in her roles but like oh well.

i loved isaac's performance! i think they both did awesome jobs and her looking "bored" kinda fit for me for once since she was AI lol

Like the person said below, I think I was slightly more impressed with her robot impression until I saw other movies with her and realizes that's just how she acts lol. She wasn't bad in the role, but I wasn't wow'd by her like everyone else was when the movie came out.
