Everyone, we wanted to give you an update on the Vic Mignogna situation. Following an investigation, Funimation recast Vic Mignogna in Morose Mononokean Season 2. Funimation will not be engaging Mignogna in future productions.

when i first got into anime 12/13 years ago it was an understood fact he was a creep who preyed on young girls at conventions. i'm almost shocked to see something actually happening. i'm glad the environment's changed.

I'm showing my age here but my first anime con was in 2002. I remember hearing stories about him a few years after I got seriously into cons and it's now 10+ years later.

He creeped on someone I know waaaaaaay back in the day (2006-7-ish). It was at some convention here in Texas and she was a big fan of his. Imagine then, her joy, when he was the only person to ride in the same elevator car as her and it was a long way down to the lobby. Evidently he started hitting on her almost right off the bat and eventually extended an invite to come back to his room later on in the evening.

She told him she was 17 and he evidently wasn't phased by this a bit. 17 is the legal age of consent in this state for some ungodly reason, but still...ew. She said at the time, he was in his mid-30's. Double ew. He didn't lay his hands on her at all, but went overboard with the compliments on top of the room invitation and really creeped her out. She turned him down, got off on the next floor, avoided him for the rest of the convention, and stopped being a fan after that.
