I'll try it. I'm from FL and I'm a slut for oranges.

I remember the first time I went to a grocery store outside of FL. No wall of orange juice. Complete culture shock.

i can agree with this. That was the only time I didn't mind looking younger just so my ass could get a free cookie. I just bought a container-- half gone already.

Haha! Same (the slut for orange part). I’ve never paid for an orange in my life. My dad manages and runs a citrus packing house so when I’m home I’ll take a box home with me to LA and share with friends and co-workers. Whole Foods/Vons Pavilions/Etc. you tried it with those prices. Also...

California Oranges 🍊 >>>>

Come at me Florida.

What’s the difference in taste of the oranges ?

stewie_e February 10 2019, 21:48:44 UTC
California oranges tend to have a thicker peel and are used more for the fresh fruit market and are considered more “tart.”

Florida oranges have a thinner peel and are used more for juicing. Also, they’re a little more “sweeter.”

The differences also depend on the type of orange (navel, valencia, mandarin, etc). Different weather conditions in both states impact how these oranges will grow in size and taste, but honestly they aren’t huge. More than anything I’m just being silly. 😜
