- It's that time of pilot season, when pilots that have been picked up have to cast the actors who will be in those pilots.
- Some of the actors in high demand this pilot season are Lizzy Caplan, Carrie Coon, Santiago Cabrera, Malin Akerman, Morena Baccarin, Deborah Ann Woll, Matthew Fox and Jimmy Smits.
- Some of the actors who have received early offers include David Duchovny, Uzo Aduba, Allison Tolman, Rose Byrne, Garrett Hedlund, Lucy Liu and Topher Grace.
- Keri Russell, Tatiana Maslany, Zooey Deschanel and Ellie Kemper are all being courted to return to TV after long series runs.
- Some of the long-shot movie stars that TV is currently going after: Rachel McAdams, Henry Golding, Anne Hathaway, Rooney Mara and Michael Keaton.
Pilot season isn't all fun and games, though. Mary Lynn Rajskub (24, Always Sunny) tweeted this:

I had the BEST one last week too! We were all sitting in the waiting room listening while the casting associate told an agent on the phone (about the role we were reading for) "Oh no, she's WAY too cute for this one." The "uglies" were in da haus!
