Oscar Intrigue: Did Lady Gaga Force Academy To Fix Song Snafu? Are Last Year’s Actor Winners Being Ignored As Presenters? https://t.co/TxfGn5AI7L pic.twitter.com/M8jTKDgPaf

From Deadline and what they're hearing, here's a breakdown of the current mess that is the 91st Oscars, still happening on February 24:

-- It was apparently Lady Gaga or her team who pushed the Academy to have all five songs performed during the ceremony (even if truncated) because she/they felt it was unfair and showing a blatant bias toward 'Shallow'. Other reports say that if all five didn't perform, Gaga would not have either, and her stance was very 'all or none'. Also, Emily Blunt will NOT be singing the 'Mary Poppins' song according to this.
-- Looks like they might be breaking the acting awards presenters tradition, and rather than have last year's winners Gary Oldman, Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell, and Allison Janney present, they're looking for 'bigger names' to present all awards (like Oprah Winfrey or Tom Hanks).
-- The 3-hour set telecast and not broadcasting 'below-the-line' categories is still in effect, unfortunately. Those awards will be given out during commercial breaks, and no, we don't know the list yet (though cinematography seems to be one of the categories rumored to being cut for time).
-- AMPAS is hoping that even with no host, if the 3-hour telecast works out (narrator: it won't) they're going to continue this truncated version for years to come.
