Fernando Gaitán , the colombian writer-producer who wrote one of the most popular telenovelas of all time: "Yo soy Betty la Fea" died Tuesday in a Bogotá hospital due to heart failure, he as 58.
The telenovela has had my adaptations in different countries and all of them have been successful, including the US one "Ugly Betty" that won GGs and Emmys, he also wrote "Café con Aroma de mujer" a very popular telenovela in Colombia that had a mexican adaptation "Destilando Amor" , his 3rd most well known work in Colombia is "Hasta que la plata nos separe"
