Lmfao, no. It’s a mess. I mean, I was completely engrossed, but not because it was good.

I really didn't like it, but I also hated The Big Short so if you liked that one you might like this one.

not really.

i thought christian bale was pretty good in it. steve carell was easily the worst of the cast though.

Actually yes, for a while, and then it COMPLETELY destroys itself in the last 10 minutes. I was amazed.

I enjoyed watching it just for a visceral reminder of another shitty time.

I liked-but-not-loved The Big Short and I thought Vice was a total overwrought self-indulgent trainwreck. Amy Adams is good, Christian Bale is leaning on the physical transformation IMO but I guess is also good, but the movie itself is just so incoherent and ham-handed.

Yeah I agree, most of the performances were good or fine with the exception of Carell. But McKay’s directing and humour I just find too try hard and attractious. He’s not funny and he needs to stop.

Honestly no. I walked in without expectation and was still disappointed. Plus it's like an hour too long.

I partially blame the end credits bit 45ish minutes into the movie.

I thought it was decent, the performances are pretty good (besides Sam Rockwell, he feels like an SNL skit) but the editing is really weird and choppy and pretty annoying. I liked it well enough for something to do on a Sunday afternoon but I don’t believe it should be anywhere near the Oscars.
