The meme of the moment is to attribute great,terrible powers to the infamous coward Norville "Shaggy" Rogers of Scooby Doo fame. The recent manifestation of this meme is a petition to get him as a character in Mortal Kombat 11 which unexpectedly gained a lot of traction.

Both Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in both theatrical live action Scooby Doo films, and Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm Studios, have responded to the Shaggy movement.
