it's always been so odd to me that from the outside it really looks like Diane cheated on Josh and dumped him for Norman, which would make her the bad guy and Joshua the wronged party (and she'd have to know that) yet somehow he was the one trying to make it look like they ended everything on good terms and she keeps subtly shading their relationship

either he's almost saintly and just loved her even though she cheated (if so, team Pacey all the way) or there's more to that story lol

Yeah I've always wondered about that too. I remember when the cheating rumours were super rampant and then he was posting pics of them together and still talking lovingly about her. Maybe another option is that he actually didn't believe she was cheating.

I remember a similar thing happened with Anna Friel/David Thewlis and Rhys Ifans. Or even with Michael Sheen, Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman. Although in those cases there are kids involved so maybe the guys being cheated on just wanted to stay on good terms with their ex.

I think he was really head over heels over her and she perhaps checked out before he did.

I remember Eva Mendes being militant about not wanting kids and marriage but she said recently in a Spanish interview that Ryan Gosling really turned her around on kids, she just knew. And this was after ten years with another guy. And there's nothing wrong with that, it happens, but she never shaded her ex like this, Diane is going for Jackson's jugular here.

Or maybe she didn't actually cheat? Or maybe he actually still loved her even though she was over the relationship?

I don't really read this as her shading their relationship. She's just being honest. I don't get why people are acting like she's some villain hurting this poor man's feelings.

ikr, i had no idea pacey still had stans, let alone stans that are this invested in his relationships

a woman isn't obligated to stay w/ someone just because they both want kids, the relationship probably stagnated and she jumped ship. it's not ideal but it's not like she killed his puppy or s/t.

She probably seriously needs affirmation/to be seen as the good guy. There's not much reason to even bring it up; it's been years and no one really cares.
