The Green Book challenge: How do you disappear someone from an awards campaign when he's been front and center for months? https://t.co/j0QDOUHfgs

Despite the fact that writer/producer Nick Vallelonga (son of the real-life inspiration of 'Green Book's lead Viggo Mortensen's character), apologized for his stupid shitty comment against Muslim people (a tweet to Trump, no less), the studio behind the movie aren't fucking around when it comes to this stupid movie's awards chances.

So now, Participant Media, the studio behind 'Green Book', has benched Vallelonga from appearing at any awards ceremony - starting with this weekend's Critics' Choice Awards where he is nominated, and leading up to the Oscars on February 24th. Somehow they think this'll help their awards chances. Their statement:

"We find Mr Vallelonga's Twitter post offensive, dangerous, and antithetical to Participant Media's values. We reject it in no uncertain terms."
