i read that as an emphasis of what he established when he said "if you with me you don’t have to work" and considering that mariah never stopped working and his recent exes (ms. guam and lanisha cole of "frontin'" video fame) apparently never stopped working while they were with him so, again, it doesn't seem to be a demand or dealbreaker based on his dating history.

i'm annoyed that i've allowed nick cannon's existence to take up this much of my 2019...

no sis this is dumb. if he's playing like he's a "provider" he's not going to want his SO to make a living because that would interfere with his stated purpose. you know good and full well, "she can still do any job she wants" ain't what any man means when they throw out "provider". they don't want someone who can plausibly be independent at all times, and lbr, they want full access to attention at all times too.
