The movie was good! But not great. I get why Nicole is really the only thing pinging on anyone's radar, because she is incredible, and it's a very different sort of role for her. I thought it was wild how Nicole was cast - she proactively got a hold of the script and contacted them to talk about it, because apparently she seeks out roles for women her age and pursues what she likes.
Karyn (pronounced Car-In, which I didn't know!) talked about how she wants to make movies in LA, because people think it's not a real city for whatever reason, and I love her for that. The film is extremely LA, I recognized so many places Erin (Nicole's character) went, and loved how much they incorporated the sounds of the city (traffic, skateboarding, Dodger games, etc).
@sandstorm - your man is in it for about 10-15 minutes or so! Sorry if it's not what you hoped.
Gonna see Roma either tomorrow night or Sunday during the day. I think that's all I will have time for before we leave for our holiday trip - we already saw and loved Beale Street.
