I've been avoiding porn/porn sites for months now bc it's such an awful industry and all that, but every now and then I feel like watching some. Are there "healthy" choices in porn out there? A friend introduced me to Erika Lust and it seems like she does a good job by the performers (plus the little stories are actually hot)? Is it possible to consume porn without indirectly hurting women?

I think it depends on who is making the porn tbh. There's studios out there who are very fem and who takes care of their female performers, and there's also more studios making things that appeal to women. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for; content like that you generally have to pay for, while sstuff that appeals to the lowest common denominator you can find for free.

there's a lot of stuff uploaded by couples that seems to be a kink thing since they tend to keep their faces out of it. i've been gravitating a lot more towards that kind of content.

Not to say there isn't a bunch of fucked up fanfic out there, but that's not even an apples to oranges comparison. There's no comparison at all--with fanfiction, there's no actual person on camera that can be victimized or injured (or with fiction in general, no matter what a shitshow the story is), unlike say, the majority of the porn out there.
