Hey @kanyewest so cool that you’re here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here. It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much.

I saw The Book of Mormon for the eighth time last night. Elder Price was a great actor, but he really noticeably struggled with the high notes/I Believe. It was stellar anyway, ofc.

And actors have every right to be angry about this, it's incredibly rude. Don't go to live theater if you can't live without your phone for two hours.

Andrew Rannells really made things difficult for all Elder Prices who followed him. I've seen in twice and felt bad for the Elder Prices because they didn't quite hit the notes I knew so well from the OBC soundtrack. Didn't they even lower the key after he left?

I remember Andrew joking about how early on in his involvement he kept telling them to make it higher so he would be harder to replace lmao.

It was definitely lower for this guy, at least. The other guys I've seen have also struggled a bit as compared to Andrew, but this was genuinely bad as opposed to just looking like it took some extra effort. He was great otherwise but sounded off key to me for those notes/some in You and Me (But Mostly Me) & cut a couple of them short.

this video always has me focusing on the number of times he licks his lips between lines

haha same, but then I'm super impressed that he powered through despite being desperate for moisture in his mouth lol

Especially in the first row. That’s actually v distracting and incredibly obvious to the actors. It’s so rude.

Exactly! And if you must use your phone, go to the lobby or wait for intermission. It's really that simple!

I saw the London show a few months ago featuring their understudy for elder Price

He was amazing and flawless, shouldnt be the understudy

That's awesome. A lot of times the understudies will take over when the lead leaves, or move to another tour/company when the role opens, so maybe he'll get his time!
