This isn’t that surprising to me tbh. He said some lowkey suspect things during the BP press tour as well.

I forget what he said word-for-word but it was something about how he thought it was absurd that Ryan Coogler had never directed a scene with only two white men interacting before the Klaw/Everett scene in BP. It wasn't anything outright malicious but there was just something about the way he said it that gave me the vibe he's the kinda person who would believe in reverse-racism and #AllLivesMatter

the BP press tour had him and Martin Freeman doing co-interviews, and whenever the interviewer asked about "how exciting it was to be part of the all-black team", they did NOT say the things you would expect white people in that position to have said. either they didn't receiving talking points, or neither of them were willing to follow it. classic 'pr training needed'.

IIRC, Martin Freeman was much worse than him. Like he was saying really wild all lives matter type stuff.

I don’t really remember anything Martin said tbh. We already knew he ain’t shit so nothing that came out of his mouth particularly surprised me or stuck with me. I wasn’t expecting Andy’s comments if for no other reason than you’d think he had better PR training.
