John Legend defends Rita's lip-syncing at the Thanksgiving Day Parade and Macy's apologizes

Today Rita "performed" her song Let You Love Me on the Krazy Glue float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Her lip-syncing was noticeably off and widely criticized.

John defended his fellow legend on twitter by explaining that everyone had to lip-sync their performance at the parade. They both made tweets promised that all of their shows are 100% live.

Macy's said the technical issues were outside of the artists' control.

During today’s NBC broadcast of the #MacysParade several recording artists experienced technical difficulties that negatively impacted their performance. We apologize and want fans to know these issues were out of the artist’s control.
