tumblr has taken the twitter model of "awful criminals and bigots are allowed to use our platform because a lot of them congregate here" for years now so their statement is bullshit. they've been allowing mass targeted harassment by bigots against ~tumblr SJWs~, and banning the accounts who replied, not doing anything about the actually COMMUNITY for CSA on the platform. it's the people using the platform who have been dedicating their time to compiling all the evidence for these blogs so we can mass report them, and even then tumblr does nothing.

Its fucking hard to find their report for any blog. You can't seem to do it from the mobile app, but need to search around for it, and even then, there seems to be NO follow up

There are a bunch of scary nazi tumblrs that they don't seem to be doing anything about.

I recently encountered a Japanese supremacist / anti-Korean hate blog and reported it, and it was like ... wild. Most of it was in Japanese, but enough was in English to figure out that the goal was to radicalize English-speaking people into believing that Koreans were liars who couldn't be trusted. It reminded me of anti-semitic propaganda/conspiracy theories, except it was anti-Korean instead. Yikes.

I reported it and blocked it, but their reporting feature is so cumbersome that I can't imagine many people go through it when they want to leave the blog as fast as possible.

I use my tumblr for viewing..non family oriented things..lol

But then about 2.5 months ago in their 'recommended for you' section was a blog that def looked like it contained CP. I couldn't find the report button so I gave up. Then a week or so after the blog popped up again so I emailed tumblr admin the name of the blog etc.
Then i decided to go to their help section and learned that the report option is under the "send" arrow. Yeah, the last thing I need is to accidentally share CP. Smh.

Then about 2.5 weeks ago another blog showed up and it was a photo collage of a young person that looked under age and they were naked and I reported it.

Both times I have not heard anything back. At least twitter responds a month later out of the blue.
