oooh stoked for Possum, and i'm interested in those Welles films!

god i've been watching SO MUCH HORROR this month, i legit need a break.
the last film i saw in the theatre was Border. it was pretty much what i thought it would be lol. it was nicely shot, really liked the makeup, the sex scene was brilliantly bizarre and cathartic. the troll guy was ... kind of hot... in spite of being, you know, lol, swedish. But yeah, typical Lindqvist, there's always some weird sex stuff or child abuse stuff which is so visceral it's impossible not to be upset by it and it's starting to feel kind of cheap because it's like pathological in his writing. but i liked it overall.

the next movies i'm planning to go see are Dog man, Satan's Slaves and Tigers are not afraid.

i WAS going to see the nutcracker movie today but then saw the RT score and shit reviews lmao, so i'll go see a private war instead

oh and get around to boy erased and suspiria at some point too this weekend or in the coming days. everything will be watched

saw bohemian rhapsody and thought rami and the other actors playing queen were great (and of course the music) but the movie is just such a huge meh

Yeah, woof @ the reviews for the Nutcracker movie. Idk if I'll bother with Bohemian Rhapsody - I guess maybe I'll use A-List for it eventually.

I was watching a review for Bohemian Rhapsody by a film Youtuber I like the other day and he said it's essentially just a celebration of how great Queen is with no real conflict or depth. That's really disappointing, but at least it saves me $12.

those orson welles films look interesting

right now i've been going through my filmstruck queue and watching what isn't available on dvd, so pretty much everything else on my watchlist is on hold until the end of the month

Really bummed about FilmStruck. I loved it. But there's no way I can go through my queue before they end, lol.

I saw Thunder Road and Galveston, they were both bad but Thunder Road was worse. So boring and self-indulgent

That's a shame about Galveston. I usually like Ben Foster's projects, but I haven't heard anything particularly good about that one.
