https://t.co/pK43KBQVJV My team is full of talented, smart professional women. I find it wrong that they are reduced to being linked to me romantically in the press just for simply standing next to me. Isn’t it time we treat women with a bit more respect?

Yeah. I wonder what it feels like to the people in these “regular” people’s lives when they get lumped into Hollywood gossip. Reminds me of David Beckham’s child’s teacher who had a story go around about her having an affair with David with no fact checking. Things like that can make work environments uncomfortable. People forget these are real people.

It kinda funny how I never thought about it until I saw his tweets this morning. It really can complicate their personal relationships and even worse their work environments.

Yeah, this has got to be wildly uncomfortable for all involved. I'm glad he said something and wish more would because this kind of reporting really needs to stop.

Yea and you know people are all over google trying to track down any info they can about the person, it's probably really jarring.

Yup yup.

It reminds me that I started watching Love Island and the girl who the photo of Zayn came out with before the band broke up was on there. She talked about nothing ever happened with Zayn and how many death threats and messages she got about how she broke up the band and how much of a slut she was from posting that picture (which she says was just her being a fan and asking for a picture).

Jesus that is appalling. It's really upsetting how young girls learn to hate other women from a young age and call each other sluts, whores, etc as they view them as competition for guys. All from standing next to a guy other girls are into she is receiving death threats, that is just insane.

And considering how much of our information is readily online? It’s kind of scary.

when my sister was like 7 years old she met Viggo Mortenson and someone got a hold of the picture, cropped it so you could only see her hair by his face and next thing we knew people were speculating about 'the blonde' that was standing next to him. We were like 'wtf'

David had an affair with a teacher, I heard the story long before it hit the press...like 3 years ago. They probably just got the wrong one.
