October 18, 2018- The Cillian Murphy starring BBC crime drama Peaky Blinders has added some new cast members for its fifth season.
- New cast members include Sam Claflin, Brian Gleeson and the previously announced Anya Taylor-Joy, as well as Neil Maskell, Kate Dickie, Cosmo Jarvis, Emmett J. Scanlan, Elliot Cowan, Charlene McKenna, Andrew Koji and Daryl McCormack.
- The fifth season is expected to air in 2019, and will move from BBC Two to BBC One.
- Plot summary: Season five finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. Opportunity and misfortune are everywhere. When Tommy Shelby MP (Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will affect not just his family’s future but that of the entire nation.
