Leslie, while well intentioned, was such an airhead sometimes that I found it hard to really like or admire her.

I'm rewatching the series for the umpteenth time (trips to Pawnee stave off depression] and am finding Leslie less inspirational than I used to. Her dedication to her job, feminism, and her friends is great but she can downright ne a bully sometimes.

Also I've never not been confused by her hatred of libraries and books? Tammy 2 I get, but she seems very anti-reading in general and it's never made sense to me.

My brother is a librarian and that aspect of the show was one of his favorite. When it comes to city government, parks and library departments can end up competing for funds as they are some of the first areas to get cut. At one point, the library he was working for was combined with the parks department due to budget cuts and both departments hated being lumped together.

same. And even when trying to do something for a friend, she just completely ignored their wants and did what she thought was best.
