Quite a lot of movies opening this weekend, starting off with Damien Chazelle's Neil Armstrong biopic 'First Man', which made $1.1 million, and is expecting to make around $18M-$20M over the weekend (on a $59M budget).

Up next is the terrible 'Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween' which brought in $750,000 on Thursday and expected to make $16M-$18M, and way less than the first installment (on a $35M budget).

Other smaller releases without Thursday figures include the star-studded 'Bad Times at the El Royale', 'Beautiful Boy' (in very limited release), and 'The Oath' starring Tiffany Haddish. These three movies, it should be noted, did have Thursday preview screenings as well.

It should also be noted that 'Venom' is expected to keep the top spot in this weekend's box office, though, making around $30M this weekend, and hell even 'A Star is Born' is expected to make more than 'First Man'. Oh well.
