- Actor Alan Alda, star of M*A*S*H and The West Wing with an acting career spanning several decades, will be presented with the SAG Lifetime Achievement award at the ceremony in January.
- The award is given annually to an actor who fosters the “finest ideals of the acting profession", and honors his career and humanitarian achievements.
- He's won six Emmys, six Golden Globes, four DGA awards, a WGA award, three Tony nominations and an Oscar nod.
I'm sure there's some reason he's horrible that I don't know about yet, but I've always loved him as an actor and am happy for him!
