Preston and JJ turned 13 and 12 earlier this month.

it was him saying he wanted to keep the kids in the same lifestyle but from what we've seen Britney has joint custody and I doubt that she would decline to pay for needs. Optically this looked like a cash grab since he has other younger children that he isn't getting child support like this for and his sons with Britney will be ineligible for child support in 6 years now

The problem is that she already pays for their schooling and other necessities plus the amount in support. That we know of, there was zero reason for him to need more money. She is footing the bill for well above her fair share.
