I only watched the first one and the scene between the Swedish princess and Taron's character was so unnecessary and felt out of place. I was watching the movie with my father made and that made it even more awkward.

I also watched the movie with my dad and those scenes made me regret that choice.

I regret that choice, too. My dad likes action movies, so I figured he'd enjoy the movie. Next time I'll just rewatch Die Hard w/ him.

That was my exact thought process. Like that’s a good bonding activity but it was not.

IKR? I was liking the movie just fine until that scene! I was shocked that I had somehow been lured into liking the humor through the rest of the movie - at that scene, I realized that I would want to have mace on me if I ever met the writers. Really jarring experience.

That scene was tonally all wrong for what the rest of the movie was, but Matthew Vaughn is super defensive about it. Blah blah blah, "dumb feminists" blah blah blah.

that scene ruined the movie for me. it was such gross boys' humour.

I mean, she's a pretty prominent roll in the second movie which made it even worse for me
