1) Anthropocene: The Human Epoch (very slow, but i mean it's a doc about geology and humans' impact on the earth so)
2) Rafiki (so good! It's a lesbian love story set in Kenya and it's shot beautifully)
3) Fahrenheit 11/9 (depressing)
4) Colette (the costumes!!)
5) Red Joan (more costumes!!!)
6) The Hate U Give (I think I cried through the entire movie, omg it was so emotionally draining)
7) Halloween (fun to see at Midnight Madness, but also there was slightly too much self-aware comedy in it and too many false jump scares to make it actually scary, but the references and callbacks to the original and its sequels were fun)
8) Gwen (I liked it a lot, but there wasn't enough... plot? I feel like this could have stayed a short film)
9) Mid90s (this really surprised me with how good it was! I sat front row centre and Jonah Hill came out with the cast for a Q&A even though it wasn't the premiere and his answers were really thoughtful, sensitive, and intelligent, which was refreshing from people just going "lol ummm idk?? haha" like they do at some Q&As where they don't really answer the questions very well or even try to)
