Emmy Rossum is leaving Shameless
After eight years and a very public salary negotiation, Emmy Rossum has announced she is leaving Shameless.
The ninth season premieres on September 9th. It's unclear if Rossum will appear in the entire season or if she will depart midway through (the show is being split in two parts this year). Showtime has confirmed Rossum will depart after season 9. (x)
Shameless has not yet been renewed for a season 10, but it remains Showtime's most watched and highest rated series.
