There ARE other actors who could play that part. Hell, Warwick Davis literally has an acting agency that employs short actors. It's called Willow Management.

I feel like they went with Peter because he seems to be the most well-known short actor around right now. Instead of necessarily getting someone who looks the best for it. I don't know.

I don't like it.

They want to make money, presumably. They're not going to cast an unknown in the lead role.

I think most people keep forgetting that this has been a passion project for Peter for many years. It’s not something that had been circulating around for HBO that he just picked up on or happened to be cast on based on his name recognition.

I didn't know that. This is actually the first I'm hearing about this project at all, surprisingly.

I'm sure it will do well. Peter is a good actor.

Woah, I didn't realize Herve wasn't Filipino.

And now Wiki seems to have scrubbed that from his bio. It used to say he was Filipino but now it says he was of English & German descent.

it kind of makes sense? Family might try to scrub all the bad and controversial things from a page

If they can't provide evidence that they're related to someone or evidence behind why they want to change something (like what damaliaraya said, scrubbing the articles clean) then yep, they can't edit the article. At the least, any edits they make are heavily scrutinized.

I’m really glad he addressed this.

If Hervé truly was not Filipino then i feel very differently about this casting and Peter’s involvement than I did previously.
