DGA releases statistics on the TV shows that hire the most women directors

Out of 13 shows that employed women directors 60% of the time or more only 3 (Queen Sugar, Insecure, and American Crime) hired women of colour to direct 50% of the time or more. All three of those shows were created by black showrunners (Ava DuVernay, Issa Rae and John Ridley respectively).

According to the Directors Guild of America the shows listed as hiring the most women directors: Queen Sugar, I Love Dick, Transparent, Jane the Virgin, American Crime, Insecure, Grace and Frankie, You're the Worst, Great News, Room 104, Gypsy, Glow and American Horror Story.

Stats were for the 2016/2017 season but bizzarely omitted a few shows that hired women directors in great numbers like Harlots and the 1st season of The Handmaid's Tale (Op note: maybe they hate Hulu?).
