HBO has officially ordered Damon Lindelof's adaptation of Watchmen to series. It is currently set to premiere next year.

Lindelof previously stated that it will be an original story, contemporarily set within the Watchmen world and not a direct adaptation of the comic series.

The full cast: Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Tim Blake Nelson, Don Johnson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Sara Vickers, Jacob Ming-Trent, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon.

Watchmen was previously released as a film in 2009. It's comic sequel, where its cast enters the DC Universe, is currently being published.
