-BREAKING NEWS FROM SPACE (Star Trek Las Vegas Con)! Sir Patrick Stewart has now officially signed on to star in a NEW Trek series (CBS All Access), reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard.
-Series will NOT be a reboot of TNG, but an "exploration of the next chapter of Picard's life".

-Alex Kurtzman (ST Disco Showrunner) involved with his creative team as CBS All Access has plans to expand the Trek universe.
-Sir PatStew to be Executive Producer on the new series.
-Sir Patrick says, amongst other things on his insta post above: "I feel I'm ready to return to him for the same reason - to research and experience what comforting and reforming light he might shine on these often very dark times. I look forward to working with our brilliant creative team as we endeavor to bring a fresh, unexpected and pertinent story to life once more."
