July 30, 2018 Both articles basically say the same thing, but I wanted to include a photo of Florence Pugh.
- Ari Aster's (Hereditary) next film has now cast Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, Will Poulter, Vilhelm Blomgren, William Jackson Harper, Ellora Torchia and Archie Madekwe.
- Synopsis from the source: Pugh and Reynor are playing a couple who travel to Sweden to visit their friend's rural hometown for a famous mid-summer festival. It starts as an idyllic retreat, but devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition spurred by a pagan cult.
- The film is currently in production in Budapest.
- Aster also wrote the script.
- A24 is financing and distributing.
- Folk horror is my jam so I'm into this.
