It seems like unless someone has been directly impacted by something, they just don’t give a fuck.

Hm, after I read them it really hit me hard, tbh. The fact that people can be so flippant about something that a majority of us will never get justice for is really depressing. And then that so many will cape for him is just more depressing! But the tweet that hit hard for me was because he was joking about not being pretty enough to be molested, where as I always blamed myself for being too cute so much so that I can't even look at kid pictures of myself because I feel so disgusted. And he thinks it's funny. It's a daily reminder that the world sucks and doesn't give a fuck about victims.

I'm sorry that happened to you.

Gunn is a victim of rape too, I'm not sure if that influenced his humor. I think he's also changed a lot since then, such as supporting Selma Blair.

Oh I did not know that, hmm. I know people deal with stuff in weird ways so honestly after knowing that I guess it's more forgivable.

Oh, wow, I didn't know that about him. That does make me feel a bit differently about it, but I'm glad I wasn't the one who had to make this decision. On the one hand, I feel like people should be able to move past stupid things they said in the past (as long as actions weren't backing it), but on the other hand, he was plenty old enough to know better... but then again, maybe this is how he deals. I don't know. I get why they did it, but at the same time, as far as we know he hasn't actually done anything horrible, whereas Johnny Depp and Josh Brolin have actually done things they rightfully should have served jail time for, so it def. seems like they're trying to get credit for being more ~morally upright~ than they actually are.

No one with common sense is buying that Disney did this out of moral obligation, but they are absolutely entitled to firing someone if it's going to hurt their business. This won't be the last time someone working for them is exposed, even if they knew it all along.

We been knew sis. Like how whites think racism is dead until they see their POC friends experience it. Or how people only started to accept gays when they realized people they knew were gay.
