Because the Supreme Court hasn't broken our hearts enough this week, today Justice Anthony Kennedy announced he plans to retire from the Supreme Court, effective July 31. This gives Mango Unchained the ability to appoint a new Justice. While said Justice would need to be approved by a majority in the Senate, the Republicans currently control the Senate, so things don't look good for abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, union rights, etc.
Justice Ginsburg is much stronger and healthier than most of us (including me) but I still want her to live in a bubble for the next 3 years just in case.
