At this point I consider her silence on Neo Nazis using her image and music to be straight up immoral. It’s past the point where “not discussing politics” is an option

agreed. people act so obtuse in these posts -- swift has allowed her image to be used by them for years now, but will go after goddamn etsy shops and small blogs that call her out instead of sending lawyers to neo nazi sites. she even didn't even hop on twitter to condemn breitfart from @ing her. she literally doesn't care about anything about her bottom dollar.

Except she HAS gone after people trying to say she’s some aryan queen to nazis. On top of that it’s not like you see every letter her lawyers send out. Sis..... it’s ok to listen to and even love TayTay’s music, none of this is all that serious on ONTD lol. But you also just have to accept reality. Taylor is always making choices and decisions both personally and for Taylor Swift, the brand, obviously. One of those choices has been to NOT say a n y t h i n g categorical publicly about Trump in a time when her peers are doing just that in different ways and everybody else is politically engaged in some way. You can rationalise it however you want but you can’t erase the fact that Taylor Swift has made the choice not to say anything even when people are looking at her.

ia and it's disturbing when you think about the fact that far less famous, far less influential artists and celebrities are putting their careers on the line to speak up about this shit because it matters and it's real life. Taylor doesn't have much to lose financially or otherwise. she'll still have her core fanbase no matter what she does and she'll always be mega-rich and famous.
