Shawn Mendes drops Portugal (FPF Official World Cup Song), Brazilian fans are “upset”
Click to view• Portugal's half Prince of Pop Shawn Peter Raul Mendes released the official World Cup song for Portugal, a Portuguese-English version of In My Blood.
• Mendes' father is a Portuguese immigrant from Lagos.
• “I accompany the selections of Portugal and England by the influence of my parents, who came from these countries. In the World Cup I'm going to cheer especially for Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo, my favorite player and probably one of my biggest sources of inspiration.”
• Brazilians did not take this news well and aren't happy Shawn isn't rooting for Brazil in the World Cup and took to social media to express their disappointment with the singer. #DontComeToBrazil

People, why is Brazil being so defensive about this? Just because Brazil has a similar language to Portugal it doesn’t mean Shawn should be cheering for Brazil too.
