I'm still vvv bothered that In The Flesh got cancelled, when they set up so many potential interesting things for season 3, and the show was so good you knew they'd do something interesting and unexpected and heartbreaking with it.

British shows get cancelled too easily so I always wait to watch them. I've been burned too many times. I read it's because they usually only have so many slots in their lineup for specific genres so if they want to make a new one of that genre they just cancel what's already out. I'm not sure if that's true?

It was cancelled because the BBC was faced with a lot of budget cuts around the airing date (despite our licence fee staying the same, don't get me started tho) - the channel this used to air on (BBC Three) was taken off air and moved online. It just didn't have a home, sadly.

I think fantasy/concept shows are most often cancelled in the UK, often because they air on the secondary channels, not on the main ones so they never get as good viewing figures compared to how much they cost so they're cut, no matter their quality.

tho tbh I don't think most British shows are cancelled too early, I like that British shows are often short and sweet and aren't allowed to wither and die when they get rubbish and the writers run out of ideas.

Yeah, I'd rather that than keep beating a dead horse, not to mention they're easier to binge watch; whereas I'm more reluctant to start watching US shows when I know that there's at least 22 episodes to try before they even get into their stride.

I came to post about it too, I'm still sad it got cancelled, specially because it seemed that the pills the lady zombie was taking were making her human again :(

Yeah, it was a show that had so much to say, and obviously had a lot more it wanted to say before it got cancelled. It was such a good, well-executed concept :(

I haven't finished the last season because I felt so sad by the cancellation. I'm going to rewatch all of it.

Oh God I love this show. I was surprised that after everything, my OTP for this show was Amy/Philip.
