Is Alex's sleazy 70s lounge singer #aesthetic starting to grow on you guys too? Would you visit his taqueria on the roof? Stream Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino on Spotify today!
I came into the comments to see if someone posted about it. That explains why it felt so familiar. Make sense though for the whole look of the video. The stations in Munich were probably all built for the Olympics 1972.
i hate it. i listened to the beginning and end of every song last night after i super wasn't into the first track and they all sounded exactly the same. i'll listen to the whole thing soon but i'll probably listen to it once and then never again.
love that he shaved the beard for this solely because so many fans wanna whine about it and those same fans get to see a minute of him without it and know that he hurried and grew it right the fuck back so it's probably staying a long while
some interviewer told him about a petition for him to shave it so he knows that's a thing and still it persists so we might as well stan the struggle beard
controversial arctic monkeys fan opinion: I hated the greaser look (it made his head look weirdly narrow, idk?) and I'd take sleazy 70s lounge singer alex over elvis impersonator alex tbh.
I still don't like the album and I've listened to it about 5 times now. I very much appreciate what Alex was going for, I think it's an interesting concept but it just falls flat imo. Musically I find it boring. Lyrically I think some of it is really great but the rest of it is really lacking.

Although he seems much more engaged in interviews this era, so that's something at least.
