It took me a couple of listens to love it, but now I'm super into it! But I'm predisposed to like the Scott Walker/Burt Bacharach/Serge Gainsbourg vibe that it's going for lol

Four Out of Five is probs my fave on the album, but I'm hoping for TBH&C or Science Fiction as the second single

haha yes, it's very much a #mood sort of album over a catchy album, but I love the mood that it's serving me.

When I first listened, I wasn't sure if I was going to get into it but after some more listens, it's really growing on me.

But omg, just that part when he doesn't have the beard in the video, he looks so much younger(/better).

That's exactly how I feel about it too. No real peaks and valleys, which almost makes it sound like background static in a way just by its consistency. I think people would be less disappointed if it hadn't been five years since their last album. Not every monkeys fan is a fan of the shadow puppets, so even though I think people are being OTT, I kind of get why it's been such a let down for a lot of people.
