For many musicians, once they've conquered the music world Hollywood comes calling. This results in varying levels of success. Some just do it once because a particular role was perfect for them, some show that they actually can act, and some never get it quite right. There have been performances that garner Oscars and others that become punchlines

The latter bc I feel like a lot of them are low key and are just doing it as a side project bc they genuinely have a passion for it.

When I think of the latter all I can come up with is like Scat Baio or Eddie Murphy putting out albums so the former.
