Unlike for example Dr Dre or Dr Phil, Dr Alban is actually a doctor (of odontology, not partying). He practiced as a dentist before finding euro dance success. He seems to have been pretty sensible with the money he made in the 90s and is currently based in Stockholm with his family and working the nostalgia circuit.

Rednex
Originators of a diabolical novelty hit, these fun loving Swedes found success appropriating white American culture, calling themselves bullshit like Ken Tacky and Mary Joe (real names Arne and Annika). Incredibly, Rednex are still going, but after going through a hilarious FOURTEEN lineup changes none of the original members remain. Mary Joe, the blonde singer people might remember, is today a life coach lecturing about how the power of thought and something called "rain drop treatment" helped cure her cancer.

A formative figure in Swedish rap, the outspoken, unpredictable Moroccan-Swede has had a rough few decades. She's struggled with mental illness, drug abuse, had trouble with the law and been homeless for many years. Every once in a while she'll make a surprise appearance on the nostalgia circuit but her rare interviews tend to be about how someone (the police, the label, or even the journalist interviewing her) stole all her shit, so a comeback is probably not forthcoming. A documentary about her life is available on Youtube.

DIDIDADADA??? The former model and singer of a once inescapeable hit is currently recording as Sannie Carlson. She recently competed in the Danish Eurovision final with her song Boys On Girls and a very natural-looking new pair of lips [Spoiler (click to open)]

Lene Nystrøm and Søren Rasted (the dude with the spiky blonde hair, not the baldo) were a real life couple and divorced after 16 years of marriage in 2017. Lene tried it with a solo career (remember that it's your duty duty, to shake that booty booty song? no?) but has found more success as an actress, starring in several major Norwegian productions (ie not that major).

Marit (the one with the guitar) found solo singer-songwriter success with her stellar debut Under The Surface and its less interesting follow-ups, while Marion (the one with the hair) has had a truly weird career spanning Meat Loaf duets, any TV format that will have her and grossout comedy. They are no longer dating Hansons - Marit got married in 2016, and Marion got married in 2013 (and divorced in 2015).

Ace of Base
Incredibly successful in their day, Ace of Base had a wild ride in the 90s. They sold millions of albums, had their hit The Sign excruciatingly covered by the ugly middle kid in Full House, Ulf's past as a teenage nazi made headlines and one of the members was even attacked with a knife by a German stan. After the group ended Jenny (the brunette) became a Christian singer, Malin (the blonde) decided she wanted out of the spotlight for good and the guys are involved in some start-ups and writing but seems like just rich people hobbies tbh. All of them have lowkey family lives.

Army of Lovers
Liberté, égalité, sexualité! The eurotrashiest pop act of them all has gone on to have a lot of self-inflicted drama, mainly. Bard and Barda, miffed that the amply asseted La Camilla got all the attention, fired her from the band. She went on to have an affair with the married king of Sweden. Their reunion album was suitably called Big Battle of the Egos. (OP story: my cousin told me these guys were gay when I was like 9 and I was like hwat. how do u know)

Deepika
While she found pop fame only in her native Norway, I'm going to include Deepika because of her impressive postscript. She made waves with her fusion of trip hop and Pakistani music, but her sexy, confident image made her a target in the conservative Norwegian-Pakistani community to the degree where she had to move to England to feel safe. Today she goes by Deeyah Khan and is an Emmy-award winning documentary director, making films about 3rd gen kids.

Robyn Carlsson
The spunky Swede's 90s sound brought us the early perfection of the Max Martin beat. She went on to revolutionise the indie pop game in the noughties before becoming a very occasional feature/collaboration artist. According to a november 2017 instagram post she is "in the studiooooo" but we have yet to hear actual proof of this statement.
