For those who don't know the story, Prince wrote the song "Nothing Compares 2 U" and gave the song to a band he had assembled called The Family. The song was not released as a single by them, so the song was barely heard of by the general public. It wasn't until 1990, when Sinead O'Connor released a cover, that the song became huge. Until today, the public has not heard Prince's original recording.
