The ending sequence fucked me up tbh D:

I really hope we get a second season because overall, I love the show sfm!! I'm still pissed about Mary tho >:(

Mary deserved better.

That whole ending sequences, with the sounds as he was cutting into the body and poor Joseph running and hiding (why didn't you run out of there, Joseph???) it was really nerve wrecking. I really hope we do get a second season, I understand there's a second book they can always adapt, so no reason not to.

Yes, the sounds and all the blood were too much. I usually handle gore very well but this time I was legit squirming D: And then there were the scenes with the team at the apartment and the general creepiness of it all... Ugh, such a good sequence!!

I think I read the author is releasing a new book soon too so there is plenty material for a second season. I'd love to revisit this team solving another case and continuing their character development so I hope it happens <3 But no more fridging please!

They also focused on that dead cat way too long for me. I can mostly handle gore, but this episode definitely tested me. And the whole episode was so tense- the team at the apartment, the hide and seek, the ending...

They'd have to introduce new female characters if they want to fridge anyone, since Sara isn't going anywhere. I suppose John's grandmother can die, but other than her, there really aren't any women left. I think there's a new book from Laszlo's perspective? Or was that released already? I dunno. There's also some kind of prequel book that's planned. There's plenty to keep going with, plus it's not that difficult a concept to plan a murder mystery for a season, even if they didn't have the books to borrow from.
