February 8, 2018 - Uma Thurman bravely revealed the abuse in Hollywood she endured and horrific injuries she suffered while test driving a car for a scene in Kill Bill Vol 2. Rose McGowan called Tarantino out on the way he writes female characters, and eventually Tarantino tried some desperate pr bullshit by saying Uma was very brave and other bullshit to cover for his pathetic ass.
- Now, a producer on the film has revealed that he felt tremendous guilt for years over the accident, and that Thurman is lying that he covered up the accident. "I deeply regret that Uma suffered the pain she has, both physically and emotionally, for all of these years from the accident that occurred on the set of Kill Bill. The safety of the professionals who work on the movies I produce is vital to me and I never want to let anyone down. I never hid anything from Uma or anyone else nor did I participate in any cover up of any kind - and I never would. I was informed of Uma’s feelings in regard to this incident a few months ago and have done my best over this time to get as much verifiable information from all of the relevant sources that I could and shared it with Quentin [Tarantino]. I wanted to make sure she had all of the answers she had been seeking.”
- Thurman says she does not hold Tarantino responsible for the crash, and she only recently patched things up with him.
- This isn't the only controversy regarding production on Kill Bill. Judd Apatow claimed in a tweet that actress Daryl Hannah's allegations of abuse from the film's producer, Harvey Weinstein, were ignored by Tarantino, who promptly kicked her off of the press tour for Vol 2.
Source Ugh, I didn't know that about Daryl. Fuck the producer tbh. Scum.
